Slot Russian Rock Band

Shake, rattle and roll, maybe. Reelin' in the years, definitely not. Reelin' and rockin', perhaps.

Slot, the Russian alternative thrash metal band, got together in Moscow in 2002.

A year later came the release of their eponymously named first album "Slot 1' on the Mistery Of Sound label.

At the same time, their debut video was aired on MTV and other major video stations. It ran for over six months, helping to push Slot 1 to over ten thousand international sales.

Prestige followed success when, in the autumn of 2005, the band was nominated for the RAMP Awards best vocal of the year, and was soon playing alongside other Russian heavyweights, KoRn, at St Petersburg's Ice Palace and at MSA in Moscow.

In addition, the bands' music has appeared on the soundtracks of numerous films such as 'Day Watch', 'Pirate', 'Burner' and 'Hunting for Piranha', as well as on the Russian rock compilation albums Nashestvie, Scang Fest and Rock Watch.

Popular demand from fans worldwide prompted the band to open their own Myspace page, which in the first month alone attracted over a thousand hits, and 20,000 plays on the Myspace player.

Slots' second album '2 Warz' hit the charts in Autumn 2006, and swept along by the single of the same name, sold over eight thousand copies just twelve weeks after its release.

Again, the bands new video gained major airplay on national television.

Thanks to the albums' massive success, Slot were once again nominated for a prestigious RAMP Award in four categories - the only band with this number of accolades - and they went on to win 'Hit Of The Year'.

Late in 2007, Slot released their highly anticipated third album 'Trinity' and a video for the single 'Dead Stars'. The album quickly sold over fifteen thousand copies and a new video of the song, 'They Killed Kenny', can be viewed on Slots' official website www.slot.ru
