Jackpot the Movie

Jackpot the movie
Not many people, at least not those outside of the US of A, have heard of the gambling town of Jackpot, Nevada.
Probably fewer still would know of the movie of the same name, 'Jackpot'.
Released in July 2001 by Sony Pictures Cassics (sic) and written and produced by Mark and Michael Polish, the movie according to the Sony release blurb, "Is the refreshingly original, stylish follow-up film to 'Twin Falls Idaho', starring Jon Gries and Garrett Morris.
Supported by a stellar ensemble cast including Daryl Hannah, Peggy Lipton, Crystal Bernard, Mac Davis and Anthony Edwards. And an Eclectically original soundtrack.
'Jackpot' is part road trip, part buddy movie and all heart".
Sounds good?
The critics thought otherwise, Eric Lurio wrote: " The Polish twins' second film is an altogether different work than their debut 'Twin Falls Idaho', which had an interesting premise and quirky performances, this has none of that.
Nothing happens. This film isn't the least bit entertaining and there's really no reason at all to spend time or money on this poor excuse for a film".
And Cynthia Fuchs who said, "As the film, and its two main characters wind along its long road, Sunny continues to screw up as Les picks up the pieces. Living inside a slow-motion buddy movie, they can't help but need each other".
Hmmn.
